Recent Reviews Hideout Saloon Pub & Grub
- Ned Gosaynie (a month ago):
We were visiting Mariposa during a weeklong trip to Yosemite National Park. We saw great reviews and a cool atmosphere, so we stopped by for dinner. I ordered the vegan quesadilla with vegan crumbles and cheese asking with a side salad. My salad was very fresh and flavorful, and the quesadilla was hearty and filling. I enjoyed it. My son had the Beyond vegan burger with lettuce, tomatoes and onions served on a ciabatta roll with fries. He thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife ordered the South of the Border salad with tomatillo and garlic dressing. She felt the flavors could have been more vibrant, but she enjoyed it and the investments were fresh. The Hideout serves breakfast as well, and they recommend reservations for parties of 5 or more people.

This place was comfortable to wander into. There was always something to look at with the dollar bills pasted all over and notes written over top. The staff were friendly and pretty on top of it. The food was not what we were expecting for the descriptions, but made sense for a bar. There's a pool table, juke box, and on the night we were there, live music. Shout out to the AMAZING local raspberry mead they had on tap.

Very grungy bar, but it delivered. Great old fashioned. Great beer. The food portions were big! It's a very hole in the wall bar, under another restaurant. Just like another diner down the street, we did wait a bit for our food, but overall worth it!

Gabe and Kali are both such amazing people, could not recommend Hideout Saloon enough. Not only were they so accomodating to my husband and I when we brought our kids in for a late dinner after a day in Yosemite Park, but they also provided catering for our wedding party of 40 people. Everyone absolutely loved all the food. Incredibly kind and great communication the whole time. Big family and fun vibes here! Delicious food. Very thankful.

Ok here’s the deal! When I first walked in I felt like I was going into a prohibition bar from the 1930’s. We had holed all day and I was really hungry but wasn’t interested in a case of food poisoning. I really wanted a salad and I will say they didn’t disappoint. The California salad with the tri-tips was excellent. My wife had the southwest salad and it was excellent as well. If you’re not afraid of hanging out in a darkish basement it’s well worth the experience.

Excellent local bar with delicious food, live music, pool, electic vibe with locals and tourists. Great hang out to meet new people, grab a drink, or eat and people watch. Unique atmosphere with dollar bills on the walls, and comfortable outside seating area. Fantastic owner- Gabriel, and a must see for tourists. Best place in town! Love you guys!

Great hidden bar , good beer, food, and service. Hand-made pizzas . I've had the chicken drumsticks. The bar maid put extra spice on it because I whinged, not hot enough because I've had 3 pints of beer in me deaden the taste bubs. Sign the $1 and stuck to the wall. Had great night for two old Australia tourist who wouldn't shut up talking.
